I am Eric Kelley.

I like to travel a bit to foreign lands. I am willing and ready to go anywhere almost anyone might ask me to go. My adventures have taken me to 19 countries, 7 of which were added to the list in 2007. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2006, receiving a BA in Studio Art (with a concentration in fine art photography). While in school I was a four year varsity athlete on the swimming and diving team. In my second year, I set the school record in the 10 meter platform, which I still hold today.

Wedding Information

I began documenting life when I was in high school. The ability to capture emotion and significant moments is captivating to me.

Weddings became my passion in 2004, when I was a junior at The University of Virginia. I started working for Bill and Anne Holland (Holland Photo Arts), some of the most excellent photographers in the Charlottesville area.

Upon graduation in 2006, I went on with them as an associate photographer. I assisted with them for a full year and then began having requests to do my own weddings for the 2007 season.

2007 saw me documenting 15 weddings with Holland Photo Arts and 7 of my own in my first year as Eric Kelley Photography.

My 2008 Wedding Season saw me document 30 weddings in and around the Charlottesville, Virginia area. These weddings took me as far as the Southwest Virginia and on up to the Baltimore area. I also had the privilege of working in the Dominican Republic, at Casa De Campo, photographing a destination wedding for an American couple.

2009 saw over 30 weddings in Charlottesville, DC, Richmond and surrounding areas - with weddings on location in New York, California, Oregon and Texas.

Looking forward to shooting almost 20 weddings this year with more to come! Hope yours will be one of them!

Timeline of my life.

August 5, 1983 - Born in Ft. Wayne Indiana
May 10, 1996 - Officially began the move to Rockford Illinois
June 2002 - Graduated from Rockford Christian High School
August 2002 - Began classes at UVA
February 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 - Won the Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming & Diving Championships with UVA.
July & August 2005 - Walked across Nicaragua to raise money for a feeding center.
May 2006 - Walked The Lawn at UVA and received my diploma.
June 2006 - Began working for Holland Photo Arts as an associate wedding photographer.
July 2006 - Began working for C-ville Weekly in Charlottesville Virginia.
March 2007 - Traveled to Uganda, Sudan and Kenya with my brother and friend to meet people and learn of stories of the civil war in Sudan.
July 2007 - Was invited to photograph the wedding of my web designer.
November 2007 - Working for myself as a freelance photographer. weddings, sports, portraits, travel, non-profit, stock images and small graphic design jobs is what I am looking for now.
January 2008 - Working, living in Charlottesville Virginia. I'm willing to travel anywhere at almost a moment's notice, so talk to me and let's go somewhere.
June 2008 - Asked Lora to marry me.
September 2008 - Opened Para Coffee.
December 2008 - Married Lora.
March 2009 - Photographed over 100 Weddings - traveled for the 5th time to Nicaragua to document for the Nicaraguan Orphan Fund.
August 2009 - Found out we were pregnant with our first baby, Henry!
April 2010 - Had baby Henry!
June 2010 - Have had the privilege of documenting over 100 weddings, working with my wife in two businesses, and helping her start her make-up artistry business in Charlottesville, VA.
